**** Update for Dental Patients May 2021 *****
We would like to advise all patients that the practice is now open for routine examinations and all treatment.
The Practice is still however running a “closed door” policy, So we politely ask that you not attempt to attend the practice in person unless you have a pre-arranged appointment, as we can only permit those who have been pre-triaged and risk assessed inside. We require all patients over the age of 11 to wear a suitable face covering, unless you have an exemption
If you have a dental emergency, have concerns about a problem in your mouth or would like some oral health or hygiene advice please do not hesitate to contact us and speak to one of the clinical triage team on 01663 736 301. Please be advised that our phone lines are incredibly busy at this time, so if you cannot get through, please leave us a voicemail and someone will contact you as soon as possible
Please be assured that we have your upmost safety and that of our staff as our priority and the dental team has continued to work tirelessly during these unprecedented times to help its patients stay dentally fit and healthy and free of pain.
Due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, we ask that all visitors over the age of 2 to either the GP or dental practice wear face coverings when entering the building. If this is not possible for any reason, please let the Receptionist know when you arrive at the door. For further advice please go to www.gov.uk and search for ‘face covering’. Please remember to only attend if you have an appointment.
Given the unprecedented situation in the UK regarding the rapidly spreading COVID-19 virus, we are following guidance from NHS England and the British Dental Association acting in the best interests of our patients and staff.
It is essential we do our part to reduce the spread of this virus, regretfully this means we have to cancel ALL routine dental treatment until further notice.
The Practice will still be operating a limited service to assist those requiring acute emergency dental care and will remain open to triage emergency patients and offer advice initially by telephone. Our staff will be available by telephone during surgery opening hours to assist you.
We will keep you updated with the latest information on our website and also on the Goyt Valley Medical and Dental Practice Facebook page
We will be operating an Emergency Telephone Consultation service for our patients who have acute pain or facial swelling. If you urgently need assistance, please telephone us on 01663 736 301. Please telephone first thing in the morning to secure a telephone consultation should you require one.
We apologise if you are waiting for routine treatment, please rest assured that as soon as it is safe to do so we will continue to provide you with this care. In the meantime you are welcome to call us with a view to any Oral health Advice you require.
